Grounds and Library Rental Inquiry Form
The Woodstock History Center’s grounds, located in the middle of the Village of Woodstock, are rented on a contractual basis for a variety of events. The venue is the back lawn next to the Ottauquechee River with a view of Mt. Tom and the Middle Covered Bridge. We can accommodate several different sized tents in various configurations. Included in the site rental is the use of the two unisex bathrooms on the lower level of the Woodstock History Center. Additional space usage like the access to our kitchenette and library can be included in the agreement but should be discussed before the contract is signed. We can accommodate no more than 120 guests on our property.
A rental is required for groups of individuals of 10 or more who use our grounds for a one-time or multiple events.
Alcohol is not allowed on property.
If the application is approved, a contract agreement will be issued and signed by both parties.
Renters of our grounds are required to provide a Certificate of Insurance, demonstrating liability coverage for the specified event, specifying the Woodstock History Center as an additional insured. Renters who do not maintain liability coverage should investigate TULIP (Tenants’ and Users’ Liability Insurance Policy) that provides special event liability coverage at a low cost. It is event-specific and can also cover vendors, etc.
The Woodstock History Center also has a library that organizations, businesses, and individuals rent per hour. There are various configurations of tables and chairs that our space allows. Please make an appointment to view the space and also to discuss options.
