In the early and mid 19th century, the hamlet of West Woodstock was a busy place with a thriving mill complex, numerous homes, a school, and a store. The Excursion will be an informal event that provides a chance to chat with others about the area's history as you view maps and historic photos. A brief walking tour will be offered at 1:30 and 2:00 pm. This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. The gathering site for the Excursion is the parking lot by the West Woodstock Bridge on Mill Road (off Route 4/West Woodstock Road).
